The F.A.N.C.Y Leadership Academy served teen girls ages 11-17 in San Diego County who needed structured youth development programming that went beyond academics - addressing self-esteem, identity and professional readiness in a culturally responsive environment.
Design and facilitate a 16-week summer leadership academy that built confidence, self-awareness and professional skills in young women through curriculum development, structured programming and community building.
Co-created and delivered a weekly curriculum covering self-concept, women's empowerment, interview skills and career readiness. Managed logistics including sign-in procedures, materials, volunteer coordination and facilitator oversight. Adapted sessions in real time based on participant engagement and learning styles while maintaining a safe, affirming space.

Successfully ran 16 weeks of programming serving 30+ youth at the Jackie Robinson YMCA in partnership with DETOUR Empowers and the San Diego Unified School District. Participants demonstrated measurable growth in self-expression, confidence and professional readiness - from reluctance to speak publicly in early sessions to actively participating in mock interviews and sharing personal writing by program end.
